BECOME A LEARNER !

HOW DO I GET HELP FROM THE LITERACY COUNCIL OF SARASOTA (LCS)?

If you or someone you know would like to request a tutor, call LCS at 941-955-0421. Some basic information (name, address, phone number, etc.) will be taken at that time. An appointment will be scheduled as soon as possible.

During this appointment prospective students receive information about the Council and its programs. We also take this opportunity to identify the student's personal goals and to determine the student's eligibility by using assessment tools.

Students are matched as soon as a tutor is available with a compatible schedule and location. There is a one-time student registration fee of $10. The student receives the first instructional book at no cost.
